Day 15-16, 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting | Día 15-16, 40 Días de Oración y Ayuno
I am in Lamentations 1 today, and I can’t help but tremble at the Word as I read about the state of Jerusalem at that time. My prayer for us is that we may never take GOD for granted. What He has done. Who He is. What He means to us. There is no room for another, church!
Can I repeat that? There is no room for another.
¿Puedo repetirlo? No hay lugar para nadie más.
He alone is GOD. He alone gets to direct our lives. He alone deserves our time, talent, and treasure.
Solo Él es DIOS. Solo Él tiene derecho a dirigir nuestras vidas. Solo Él merece nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoros.
Listen to the pain of the people of GOD at the time (Lamentations 1:1-2):
How lonely sits the city
that was full of people!
How like a widow has she become,
she who was great among the nations!
She who was a princess among the provinces
has become a slave.
¡Cómo yace solitaria
La ciudad de tanta gente!
¡Se ha vuelto como una viuda
La grande entre las naciones!
¡La princesa entre las provincias
Se ha convertido en tributaria!
She weeps bitterly in the night,
with tears on her cheeks;
among all her lovers
she has none to comfort her;
all her friends have dealt treacherously with her;
they have become her enemies.
The people of God took Him for granted. They sought after other lovers. But none could comfort her.
These things were written for our benefit. That we may be wise. Why would we seek along the road for other lovers, giving ourselves to those that we know cannot satisfy our souls?
But we do it so often, don’t we? We must envision the bitter end of such pursuits, and turn with forceful faithfulness to our Beloved.
Let us take these 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting to become fully devoted to our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. He is our pursuit.
To serve Him. To love Him. To obey Him. To be blessed by Him.
Servirle a Él. Amarle a Él. Obedecerle a Él. Ser bendecidos por Él.
It can be done, church. We can be delivered! We can be joyful! There can be peace in our hearts. There can be freedom in Christ.
¡Es posible, iglesia! ¡Podemos ser liberados! ¡Podemos vivir con gozo! Puede haber paz en nuestros corazones. Puede haber libertad en Cristo.
My prayers and love are with you.
