Tribulation’s Peace | La Paz de la Aflicción

After saying (in John 16:33) that in Him we can have peace, Jesus said emphatically, “In the world you will have tribulation.” He offers peace through tribulation. How is that possible? Well, you have a power within you that has already endured through the tribulations of life, and overcame them. “But take heart; I have overcome the world,” He said.

Después de decir (en Juan 16:33) que en Él podemos hallar paz, Jesús afirmó enfáticamente: “En este mundo afrontarán aflicciones.” Él ofrece paz en la aflicción. ¿Cómo es esto posible? Pues, tú, como cristiano, tienes un poder dentro de ti que ya ha sobrepasado todas las aflicciones de la vida y venció. “¡Anímense! Yo he vencido al mundo,” nos dijo.

Jesus lived a perfect life. He was tempted in every way (see Hebrews 4:15), faced every trial (see 1 John 2:16), endured the most painful death (see Philippians 2:8), and yet, was victorious. And now you have His Spirit (His power) within you. You have the answer to the exam ahead of time. That should give you confidence.

Jesús vivió una vida perfecta. Fue tentado en todo (vea Hebreos 4:15), enfrentó toda prueba (vea 1 Juan 2:16), soportó la muerte más dolorosa (vea Filipenses 2:8) y, aun así, fue victorioso. Y ahora tú tienes su Espíritu (su poder!) dentro de ti. Tienes la respuesta al examen de antemano.

The way home though (the way of victory) is still through tribulation (Acts 14:22)— through the cross (Matthew 16:24). We must endure (Matthew 24:13). The joy comes from the fact that we walk along with One Who did endure and promises to be with us until the end. Lean on Him. Keep your eyes on Him. He knows the way! Because, He is the way!

Sin embargo, el camino a nuestro hogar (el camino de la victoria) sigue siendo a través de dificultades (Hechos 14:22)— a través de la cruz (Mateo 16:24-26). Por eso debemos mantenernos firmes (Mateo 24:13). Nuestro gozo proviene del hecho de que caminamos junto a Aquel que ya perseveró y triunfó, y que ahora promete estar con nosotros hasta el fin. Apóyate en Él. Mantén tus ojos puestos en Él. ¡Él conoce el camino! ¡Porque Él es el camino!
