Oración por el Rebaño

Dios de toda Gracia y Padre Misericordioso,

Maestro y Señor,

¿Puedo encomendarte con suma urgencia

A aquellos que has puesto bajo mi cuidado?

Su dolor es tan cercano,

No puedo imaginar la aflicción que debes sentir en Tu corazón.

Sus diversos sufrimientos y heridas son tan profundos,

Es difícil encontrar palabras adecuadas para consolarlos.

¿Tú, que eres Consuelo mismo, podrías estar cerca de ellos en este momento?

¿Puedes abrazarlos fuertemente con ambas manos

Y ayudarlos a sentir Tu tierno amor o Tu firme reprensión,

Según sea necesario, para que sepan que Te importa su situación?

Como oró Jesús, no te pido que los libres de los sufrimientos de este mundo

Sino que los protejas del maligno.

Ayúdalos a vencer sus artimañas;

Abre sus sentidos espirituales para que no caigan en sus trampas.

Ilumina sus pensamientos.

Conserva sus corazones puros.

Fortalécelos en su debilidad.

Restáuralos y sostenlos en toda circunstancia.

Te doy gracias por habernos unido,

El que sufro con ellos es un milagro,

Un dulce regalo que sé que viene de Ti,

Pero en el dolor elevo mis más fervientes súplicas por ellos.

Hágase Tu voluntad, como siempre,

En la tierra como en el cielo.

Ante el altar, rendido a Ti,

Este humilde siervo intercede por su rebaño,

En el poderoso Nombre de Jesús,

Amén.

Prayer for the Flock

Gracious LORD and Master, Merciful Father and GOD, Can I lift to You with utmost urgency, Those you’ve put under my care?

Their pain is so close at hand,

I can’t imagine how it must tear at Your heart.

Their various sufferings and wounds are so deep,

It is hard to find appropriate words for comfort.

Will You, Comfort itself, come close to them at this hour?

Can You embrace them, both hands tied

And help them feel Your tender love or forceful rebuke,

As appropriate, that they may know, You care!

As Jesus’ prayed, I do not ask that You to take them out of worldly sufferings,

But that You protect them from the evil one.

Help them overcome his schemes;

Open their spiritual senses, that they may not fall into his traps.

Make their thoughts clear.

Keep their hearts pure.

Be strong in their weaknesses.

Restore them and sustain them through every season.

I thank You for making us one,

That I so hurt with them is a miracle,

A sweet gift, I know comes from You,

But in the hurt I offer my most forceful supplications on their behalf.

Thy will be done, as always,

On Earth as in Heaven.

At the altar, surrendered before You,

This humble servant intercedes for his flock,

In the Mighty Name of Jesus,
