Heart Work | Labor del Corazón

Our world moves fast. We can barely keep up. Instability seems to be our daily bread. It is no wonder why anxiousness and distress abound. But we have an antidote. We can have stability.

Nuestro mundo se mueve a toda velocidad. Apenas podemos seguirle el ritmo. La inestabilidad parece ser nuestro pan de cada día. No es de extrañar que abunden la ansiedad y la angustia. Pero nosotros tenemos un antídoto. Podemos tener estabilidad.

Isaiah 33:6 tells us that God “will be the stability of your times.” What a statement! And it continues, “abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge.” We have it all in Him. No need to fret.

Isaías 33:6 nos dice que Dios “será la seguridad de tus tiempos”. ¡Qué afirmación! Y continúa: “te dará en abundancia salvación, sabiduría y conocimiento”. Lo tenemos todo en Él. No hay necesidad de inquietarse.

The verse concludes with a value statement: “the fear of the Lord is Zion's treasure.” There is our work—our heart work—to value what is most valuable. The fear of the Lord is something we must strive for, to treasure as most valuable. We need not fear the news. God is our salvation now and forevermore. Our security and stability is Jehovah, our God.

El versículo concluye con una declaración de valor: “el temor del Señor será tu tesoro”. Es aquí que entra nuestra labor —la labor de nuestro corazón— en valorar lo más valioso. El temor del Señor es algo por lo que debemos esforzarnos para atesorar como algo muy valioso. No tenemos que temer lo que pasa en las noticias. Dios es nuestra salvación ahora y para siempre. Nuestra seguridad y estabilidad es Jehová, nuestro Dios.
